junk that says it all but all of ea launch titles were i think they should’ve refunded our money for these launch titles but thats why they went from first to third. they still are doing this just look at dragon age:origins another unfinished game
I’ve been playing Madden since its release and have seen it grow from a 2D game with boxy players and simple game play to a game with amazing graphics and a realistic feel that almost seems like you’re there on the field. The reason I bought this game is because out of the 3 Next Gen Maddens on the Xbox 360 I feel that this one has the best graphics. The game play is horrible compared to Madden 08 on the 360 but the graphics are amazing. All in all you realize real fast that graphics don’t make the game and after playing it one time with my friend, on the shelf it went. If you’re big into graphics then this game is for you, but if you’re all about the game play… then stear clear.
I’m not a huge football fan, so this game wasn’t that great for me. It’s a bit complicated as well, but that would be a plus for an avid footballer. If you aren’t into football too much, not worth the money, but if you are into football even a small amount, a good buy!
EA Sports took a huge step backwards with this game, took out most everything that was fun in ’05 (you think I’m joking), and all they did was update the graphics. Even the gameplay took a step back. I have owned every madden game since it was on the super nintindo, and this has got to be one of the most defective in the series.
If you are looking for a football game, Madden 07 is ok, they fixed a lot that was broken with this one, but it would be smart to wait for Madden 08.
Because of the “next-gen” engine that they were working on for this one and 07, they are still ironing out a lot of the kinks, however having played Madden 07, I feel that Madden 08 will finally be worth our money, so steer clear of this one and wait a couple months.
I bought this game used for $11.99 right before Madden 2007 came out. This was the first Madden I had played since Madden 2003.
PROS: 1- The game has excellent graphics.
2- The fans and players look real.
3- There are hundreds of different plays in the game.
4- It has all 32 stadiums, the Pro Bowl stadium and a Mexican stadium.
5- Easy-to-adjust defensive schemes, quarter lengths, and difficulty.
6- Kicking and throwing are very easy to learn.
CONS: 1- No Coach’s Challange {the refs make a lot of bad judgements}.
2- No Unlockables {no extra players, attributes, teams, etc.}
3- If you hit the qb a SECOND late, you get a 15 yard penalty.
4- No trick plays {flea flickers, bootlegs, etc.}
5- Michael Vick is way too fast, he can run past anyone on every play.
6- The game freezes on occasion.
7- WHERE IS MADDEN?
Overall it is a good game, but it is too stripped down and basic. Wait for Madden 2007, I like it better. It has coach’s challange, unlockables, and the refs are more fair. Still a $15 bargain.
