Confirmed, Microsoft is having a contest for a couple hundred of the new Xbox Kinect but not for much longer, you probably found out about it on the Microsoft Facebook site. Here ya go, this goes to the reg page.

Kinect is NOT a Ps2 EyeToy. it is capable of much more. For instance the Xbox Kinect is able to detect the motion of the body in 3D.
Buying the newest games and the newest systems is to expensive for the average person viewin this vid. You have probably heard alot of ppl writing on their Facebook walls saying Microsoft is giving out a bunch of Xbox Kinects This takes you to their contest page.

so sony and microsoft copied nintendo wii motion sensor and took it further now nintendo is taking another step forward and going 3d or fixing it i should say (virtual boy)

@MaximusAragon your right on one aspect… maybe for the shotter types they need like a controller or something to move and shoot with…. however the guy that designed fable is developing a game where the avatars in the game react to your facial expressions…. and that is a gaming milestone…
i think this is going to be so much better than the wii because well A) its xbox… B) you dont have controllers to hold or a stupid platform to stand on and C) it will be compatible with GOOD games unlike most of nintendos crap… (I hope)

@MaximusAragon If you want realistic first person shooters, why not play paintball. As for the kinetic, it looks great but i can see why it would be a problem for any games that have two separate motions such as movement and aiming.

this will not work with first person shooters or hack and slash games, plain and simple. which are two of the most popular game types. im not saying kinect is bad. ITS HUGE for the gaming and many other industries but it simply leaves out too much to doubt on how most games except for sports related ones are going to be played.
i think this x box kinect thing is absolutely impressive its better than the ps3 move with all its special features like voice activation but think about it ps3 has internet browser and all in all is a better system better than the x box but x box is definately improving wii sucks
